We are going to be in Branson the night of 7/30/09 and are planning on staying through 8/2/09. If anyone would like to join us that would be great. We are working with Compton Ridge to give us room as a group for 10 rigs. Please call them and let them know you are with the 'Outbackers' Group. I am sure that Doug will post the disclaimer on this post, but just in case... Please keep in mind that this is not an offically santioned activity and is just merely a group of folks getting togther to share some time. Contact info for the campground: Compton Ridge Campground 5040 State Highway 265 Branson, MO 65616-6141 (417) 338-2911 www.comptonridge.com Hope to see lots of you there! Paul and Jana

Pnw - 2009 Day After Thanksgiving Rally |
| Posted by Oregon_Camper - 02-18-09 15:44 - 101 comments |

I was handed the torch by Jodi during the Presidents Day Weekend Rally to take the lead for our PNW Day After Thanksgiving Rally. We talked about moving this to Cannon Beach this year....so I did! Site Details:* Where: Cannon Beach RV Resort* When: Nov 27th-29th * Cost: - $25.04 per night * Reservation: Contact "Leroy" (yep...same as Timberlake) at 1-800-847-2231 and tell him your with the Outbacker Group.. Eat'n Details: They have their own "Pot Luck" on Saturday the 28th from 4-6pm. They provide the Turkey...the campers at the park provide the side dish. There is no additional cost to attend their Pot Luck. I asked if we could have our own Pot Luck on Friday and he said sure! The meeting room will already in put together for the dinner the next night, so we will have it all to ourselves. No cost!!! Now, that has us eating Turkey 3 days straight. I'm ok with this, but other might not be. Do we want to just head out for a group dinner on Friday night vs. the Pot Luck? Sites:I have all of the bottom loop blocked for us (expect for site 53). So take your pick (first come first served) from the sites 41 through 58. Every site offers Full Hookups and includes cable television. The location is really well kept up. We spent Thanksgiving in site 62 last year (2008) and the kids had a great time in the heated pool and hot-tub. There is a rec room with pool tables and video games, and Leroy offers a free shuttle downtown if you want to leave your TV at home. I will keep the list updated as people make their reservations. Who's Coming:Site 41 Site 42- 4H1DinaOB - 2 Adult / 2 Kids (Fri - Sun) Site 43 Site 44 - Walkerman -- 2 Adults (Fri - Sun) Site 45 - Oregon_Camper -- 2 Adults / 2 Boys (Wed -Sun) Site 46 - Y-Guy -- 2 Adults/2 Boys (Wed-Sun) Site 47 - Crismon4 - 2 Adults / 2 Boys ( Arrival date???) Site 48 Site 49 - jnk36jnk -- 2 Adults / ( Arrival date???) Site 50 - Thunder -- 2 Adults (Wed - Mon) Site 51 - BlueWedge - 2 Adults (Wed-Sun) Site 52 Site 53 - Not Available Site 54 Site 55 - Doxie-Doglover-Too -- 2 Adults (Wed - Sun) Site 56 - PDX_Doug -- 2 Adults / 1 Boy (13) / 1 Girl (9) ( Arrival date???) Site 57 - Timber -- 2 Adults (Fri - Sun) Site 58 Here is the a snapshot of the park and a close up picture of our loop.

2009 Northeast Spring Rally |

It's official, the location and date of the Spring Rally has been set- May 29th-31st. After consulting with another local camping group I found a few campgrounds that were suggested to me that were very accomodating for larger groups. It's amazing how quickly they fill up! This campground Charlie Brown Campground had one weekend opened. We will camp around a large pavillion and will have exclusive use of it for the weekend. As of now Charlie Brown has set aside sites P301-P314. With 12 families attending we will receive a discount of 10% which would be $38.70 per night. That includes, water, electric, cable and shared grey water. Please call 1-877-974-0142 and make your reservation if you are interested in attending, let them know that you are attending with the Outbackers group and give them my name also. Looking forward to this, should be a ball! Post here if you plan to attend: 1. Anne72 & Flatred: #302 Thurs- Sun 2. Wolfwood: #301 3. Kampinwitkids: #303 Thurs-Sun 4. Doft: #314 Thurs-Sun for me and Fri-Sun for the rest of the crew 5. amyk: #307 6. Dawgs #304 7. Calvin & Hobbes: #305 Fri- Sun 8. Johnp2000 #306 Fri-Sun 9. Bakerman #308 Fri-sun 10. Pnw 2009 Fall Rally |

Hi there everyone, I am planting the flag for the 2009 PNW Fall Rally at Champoeg State Park in the Willamette Valley. I have chosen the weekend of October 9th thru the 11th. We have been there twice now in October and it has been just beautiful. I believe we will all have to be responsible for making out own reservations. I am planning that we will be in the 'B' loop, especially B11 thru B16 which are in a circle with a grassy area in the middle. They come with water and electric. There are eight full hook up sites but they are not as amenable to a group gathering as these are. We will not be able to make our reservations until January 9, 2009 at the earliest (and I would suggest the earlier the better). I sure hope lots of you will pencil this get together in on your calendars. Jodi & Dean A list of those planning on attending, with the campsites numbers Crismon4 ----- B11 jk36jnk ----- B12 PDX Doug ------ B13 Doxie Dog Lover ----- B14 MV 495 ------ B15 Y-Guy ------- B16 Thunder ------- B8 Walkerman ------B6 Larry theOutback ------- B5 Timber---------B-25 Matthew---------B-31 4h1DinaOB----A-10 Blue Wedge ----- B33 Oregon Camper------A-12 Thefulminator-------A16 Oregon Campin------A8 Greenfamily---------B17 Stephensons------- A14 And special quests: Wolfwood in cabin 6 Skippershe in cabin 5

2nd Midwest Rally |

This year's Midwest Summer Rally will be held in the heart of Ohio's Amish Country at Whispering Hills RV Park just outside of Shreve, OH. The dates we have agreed on are July 10-12 but if you want to come earlier you are more than welcome. The contact info for the campground is http://www.whisperinghillsrvpark.com/ , phone 330·567·2137 or 800·992·2435 the person you want to speak with is Haley. Tell her you are with the Outbackers Rally group and she will take care of you. If you call before the camping season starts (April 24) you will probably need to leave a voicemail and she will return your call. If we have under 14 units we will get a 10% discount over 15 units will get a 15% discount. The sites I have picked out for us are very large and are all side to side and back to back. Right now the sites we have scheduled are Maple 1-9 and Elm 16-24, if we get over 18 I will call Haley and request more sites that connect to those. Some of the sites are full hook up and others are water & electric. Here is a link to the campground map - http://www.whisperinghillsrvpark.com/images/park_map.pdf . 2009 Spring Roll Out Rally, Northern Illinois |

OFFICIAL RALLY DATE - May 15th - 17th
With the safe placement of our beloved Outback in it's indoor winter hibernation lair, it's time to start thinking (okay, dreaming) of our next Outbackin' season. With the excitement of the last couple of Spring Roll Out Rallies, it's time to start planning for the 3rd annual Spring Roll Out Rally. In the years past, we have opted for the weekend prior to Memorial (the official kick-off to summer) to host our Outbacken' summer kick-off. Therefore, I'd like to suggest the weekend of May 22nd - 24th, 2009 for the date of the rally. Now we have to select a location for the rally. I am wide open to suggestions, so fire away. Locations that I may suggest include: Comlara Park in Central Illinois or Blackhawk Valley Campground in Northern Illinois. So what do you say, let's start planning!! Attendees list: H2oSprayer - Site #48 Mike - Site #49 Scoutr2 - Site #47 Out4Fun - #50 RAYASFAM - Site #45

1st Nor Cal Rally Come Join Us At Cassini Ranch |
| Posted by N7OQ - 10-16-08 20:09 - 81 comments |
 |
We have a date and place, the dates will be July 23rd-26th, 2009 at Casini Ranch you can come up earlier if you want and don't have to stay then whole time. We decided that instead of voting for times and dates it would be easier to just come up with a date and place and let those who can make it reserve a site it is just to hard to find a date and place that is perfect for everyone. Casini Ranch is a very family oriented campground on the Russian river and is only about 6 miles from the Ocean. There is a lot to do and we will be coming up with activities, like a Potluck, Geocaching, Astronomy night, plus they have Kayaks for rent a duck pond, hay ride and playground for the children. It is close to Wineries, Beaches, forest, and Golf courses. We will be posting Activities as we come up with them. We will also post who is reserved in what sites. So come and join us for the first Nor Cal rally, and if you have any ideas for things to do please post them Skippershe has already given me some great ideas. Also SOB Outbackers are welcome too, the more the merrier. Here is the website: Click here If you want hookup make sure you ask for them, I don't think all sites have them. Make your reservations as soon as possible to get the site you want, sites will be going fast.

Cedar Point - East Harbour Rally - 2009 |
| Posted by Thor - 09-9-08 09:26 - 176 comments |

Everyone It started with fellow Outbackers at the Factory Rally coming up with the idea of a Cedar Point Rally for 09. I checked on the camping at Cedar Point and it really does not lend itself for a rally. Fanatical1 send me an email regarding a Cedar Point Rally and surrounding campgrounds that maybe suitable for a rally and still be near Cedar Point. After several emails, (Fanatical1 did all the work of contacting parks and getting the details) we think it might be a good idea to have a rally at East Harbour SP. Fanatical1 will post the details for his leg work. East habour has alot to offer (more than just Cedar Point) making it a great venue for a rally. Fun, sun, beach, food, beverage and most of all great people. So after all that.....We are checking to see interest level, dates etc for this rally. Please post thoughts, comments, ideas Thanks Thor & Fanatical1
