In Topic: Shared Key & Lock In Rv's - Ch751 Lock Replacement

24 December 2018 - 01:08 PM

This is a great mod.  I actually changed all my locks and keyed them all the same as the entry door.  So now I only carry one key for the RV.

The CH751 usage is actually more widespread than you think.   We ran out of TP once and needed to "borrow" some from the campground, only problem was the TP holder was locked.   Sure enough, the CH751 opened the dispenser!!

Hi Todd,

Been a while, actually since our last trip to Cedar Point with you.  Helen and I were considering a trip to Cedar Point next year, but I think we decided to scratch it.  We have a couple other trips planned that will drain the budget and we decided Cedar Point was odd trip out.   It's possible we may add it back in, but I would need to see how the whole schedule is working out and talk to Helen about it.  Would be nice to catch up with you guys.

In Topic: Battery Box Issues

Back when I had my 301BQ, I used something similar to this:

or this:

I was actually able to get two of these boxes on the tongue and put four golf cart batteries in them.  Went down to a local metal shop and had them remove the standard battery rack and weld a tray and angle iron to the tongue that hold the boxes.

Great, adding the BMV-712 to my mod list next spring!

Went over and checked out your page, lots of good information!   Like your lithium ion battery system, really want to do this myself as we dry camp almost exclusively.  But man, they are just too expensive, I just can't justify it.   I currently have four 6V Trojans that are in their fourth year and still going, but we ride them hard so their time may be running out.   Definitely going to get the BMV-712 battery monitoring system for next year, looks very slick.   Have you been happy with it?
