Well...we are going flounder gigging...and I want to try out my new bow fishing reel...it will be fun. I have never intentionally eaten one...but I hear they taste like scallops...if I get one...I will let you know if the do or not. This will be my first attempt at bowfishing...and I hear I should aim low because...the fish are not where you think you see them.
Currently ...NO camper.

So are you going for stingrays or flounder or both?

Here in So. Calif. we have a fish called a sheepshead...it's born a red female and then turns to a really large black and red male and grows great big front teeth. They only eat shellfish and so their meat tastes like scallops or lobster. I have had it and this is true. Are these fish on any others coast?

Happy Camping (errr, Fishing) :D

And you don't need a trout stamp for that either. :whistling:

Never heard that you can't fish at night. What, they don't wake to disturb the fish while they sleep in Oregon?

Dawn,

There are Sheepshead on the Atlantic Coast................. thumbleft

Many of you may not know this, but many of the "scallops" that you buy at your local market are actually "punched" through a Ray's wing.............. :o

It is only Illegal to fish for Rockfish (Striped Bass) at night, on th eChesapeake and Tributaries.

Good luck!!!!!

Reminds me of the ole Justin Wilson joke where his buddy takes the Game Warden fishing. After he lights the first stick of dynamite, the GW proceeds to tell him he is going to jail.

The buddy lights another stick........hands it to the warden and asks "You gonna Talk, or are you gonna Fish?" eek1 eek1
