We recently purchased an Outback 2019. Our living room slide sits above the floor and we are constantly stubbing toes on it. Is this the norm? We covered it with a rug but what a pain.

Unfortunately with this being the only way a slide can work the rug would be your only option. On our unit the floor isn't a problem but with my height bumping my head can be. But after a while you will get used to it and accept that this is the nature of trailer life.

Good Luck

Robert

Evidently since 2019 manufacturers have figured out this issue. My daughter’s brand new tt floors with slideouts are flat! Oh well, we love our Outback!

What brand and model does your daughter have I would like to see how they did that.

Good luck
