Our 1989 classic motorhome has a sewer drain that is located within a small cargo box with a swing up door. The problem is the location of connecting the flexible drain pipe is done within that cargo cabinet and then goes our the door to the Sani dump. The issue is that flex drain pipe has to go over the bottom of the door frame which is higher than the actual drain pipe - so when I disconnect it I always get spillage. Has anyone got any experience in modifying the RV drain pipe to somehow eliminate this issue and perhaps move the pipe to outside access? (Sorry for long message)

It's not an Outback so nobody here probably knows what it looks like. Pictures would help.

There’a a group called ‘Classic Winnebagos and Vintage RVs’ with lot of technical info on older units, maybe even yours. Worth a look see. This was my first RV. Had a central vacuum system under the refrigerator. Pretty cool for 1971. Good luck.
