Hi. We just got a 2004 26rss a few months ago and need some advice. Even though we never put the awning away wet, the next time we unroll it there is always water dripping off it. It's already starting to get mold on it. When I talked to our service dept. about this, they said that is the way the awning is made. Since it rolls from the top, every time it rains, water will seep down into it. Does anyone else have this problem and, if so, what do you do to keep it from getting mildew on it?? Thanks.

Yes I do get the wet awning on my 25 RSS and I don't know what to do about it. I think every awning will have it so you will probably just have to deal with it by cleaning it periodically. It also helps to let it air out and dry as much as possible. I don't have a mold problem yet, but if I do I am sure a cleaner with a little bleach will help.

Some people make covers for them, but I don't know how effective they are against moisture. Mine gets wet too, but I scrub it clean a lot.
