Okay, all you modification guys, ...has anyone changed the wood under the dining area seating from the cheap wood currently there to something sturdier? I am thinking slightly thicker plywood and some hinges so we do not have to always remove the wood.

Other suggestions appreciated also!

Thanks!

When I removed the screws so I could access the water pump I couldn't help but wonder if they could have found anything thinner to use! I don't plan on changing until (if) it should breaks. I will be cluing some 2" foam board to the underside of the seat though, and adding it along the walls of the base to help quiet the pump a bit. Not that its going to help reinforce the 1/32" plywood though.

That stuff is pretty cheesy. I don't like having to get out the screwdriver to winterize, or flip the water heater switch either! I'm ready to upgrade this!
