Door County

Door County is a large peninsula jutting out into Lake Michigan. Green Bay (City) is on the southern end. Drive up along the shores and stop in quaint villages, beautiful marinas, lighthouses, and seemingly endless orchards. Door County is like a slice of rural New England.

Hike the State Parks, take in an authentic Fish Boil and enjoy. Don't forget to take the ferry to Washington Island. It's a great place to spend some time.

My favorite campground is:
Wagon Trail Campground
It's the northern most campground on the Door Peninsula, 80 miles north of Green Bay, WI.

I guarantee you will fall in love with this place!

My dad is from the Siren, Wisconsin area and I would like to go back up there one day. We went when I was 6 years old (41 years ago) and I remember how beautiful that area was. I'm sure things have changed quite a bit in 41 years.

Vern...
Small world! I lived (and parents still live) 33 miles from Siren, WI. We are originally from Pine City, MN. I was born there and lived there until I joined the military. We used to go to Siren for the annual "Snowmobile Watercross" each winter. Those crazy snowmobilers would see how far they could ride across open water! They still do it to this day. It is a beautiful place. Lakes, trees, rivers everywhere. We visit the area many times each year.
Ahhh the memories!
