One question here. I am going to do some dry camping and would like to be able to use the ac. The Honda is 2k. The harbor fright is 700.00
I see a lot of bad reviews on the champion. Is there one that is highly recommended on these forums or is it really just a crap shoot?
I bought a Westinghouse dual fuel 3700 watt capacity electric/remote start genny and one of its better features is that it is 52db. However it cost $1,200 and weighs about 100 lbs so I had to buy a Harbor Freight ramp to get it into the bed of my truck. I was going to buy a Honda 2200 with the 30amp connection but I couldn't find one anywhere so I decided to go big.
Yesterday I saw that Costco had a Firman 3200 watt genny with about the same features as mine (it had electric but not remote start) for $750.
If you want the Quietest and the most reliable get a Honda, if not get the cheapest thing you can find. Also prefer the Champion remote start inverter generator.
You can take decision from any of these two generator.
