Has anyone towed their trailer on a snowy road, I mean on purpose? I've been caught in minor snow, but road was just wet with a little slush. Has anyone tried towing on ice or packed snow? Have you used chains or studded tires on the trailer? There is a mountain range between us some nice camping areas, but I've got to get over about a 6,000 ft pass to get there. Any comments?

I don't think I would take the chance. Going uphill probably wouldn't be too bad. Going down the other side could get a little hairy

Not today! I just got home from a weekend outing, and 18 inches of snow has fallen here! (and it's still coming down!) Almost got caught up in a 12 vehicle crash in Fargo today. Just as I got home, the Interstate closed down. It was a pretty hairy trip.

Now to answer your question...
Yes. I have pulled in snow, but it was a reasonable amount, and on the flats. I have not towed in the mountains yet. Chains not needed for me.
